Holy Smokes!! Hawaiian Butterfish @ Chez Melange of Redondo Beach, CA

Last night our office threw a pretty impressive client appreciation dinner at Chez Melange of Redondo Beach, CA. Have you ever been there?  I've never had Hawaiian Butterfish before last night (pictured left) and I must say that I am now a fan! It totally lived up to its name; that is, it was as smooth as, well, butter. And, the light, sunny sauce on top just complimented the protein.  Something I would order again & again.

I also have to compliment the staff for being attentive and doing a great job accommodating a large group of 19 people. Great job, Paul!

Now, if I had to bitch about one thing, it would be the dessert, The Almost Flourless Chocolate Cake (pictured right). Basically, our group was served what could only be described as a dense, brown brick of sugary lard. Not a refreshing way to top off a meal at all.

Other than that, I would highly recommend this place for groups and intimate dates.
