Food Detectives: Los Angeles Pizza Sucks Because Of The Tap Water

On last night episode of Food Detectives, on Food Network, host Ted Allen examined why New York pizza is often declared “the country’s best”. One hypothesis was that it’s the tap water that makes the difference. So, the Detectives set out to test of this theory.
At the NY pizzeria Apizz, Gay Allen had its chef-owner John LaFemina make three identical pizzas, one with NYC tap water, one with Chicago tap water and one with LA tap water.
He then assembled a panel of experts which consisted of actor Mario Cantone (Charlotte's Gay on "Sex & The City"), Tony Muia of “A Slice of Brooklyn” bus tours, Joe Ciolli of Grimaldi’s, LaFemina and Allen himself; all of whom proceeded to do a blind tasting of the pies.
And, guess what?! All five New Yorkers preferred the same pizza which turned out to be the one made with New York’s own aqua municipale. Surprise!!
So, which came in last place?! The pizza made with Los Angeles tap.
Bitch Please!! If you're going to pack your panelists with New Yorkers, they're obviously going to pick the pizza they're more familiar with. The fact that they didn't have a cross-section of panelists -- including judges from, oh I don't know, Chicago or L.A.? -- is suspect. Also, just because the New Yorkers picked out the New York pizza it does not mean it's "The Country’s Best" .... Or does it?!

Yes. 100% with you.
The show is just for entertainment purpose.
Actually, the test wasn't to determine if NY pizza was the best. It was to determine if water was the key ingredient that makes people claim that it is the best. Pay attention next time.
@anonymous hence, NY pizza thereby being the far superior. I was paying attention.
